What it does

Reports status frontmatter that is malformed, is not text, or is not proposed, accepted, deprecated, or superseded by ADR-NNNN. The field is optional.

Why it matters

The Profile uses a fixed status vocabulary so readers can interpret a decision’s lifecycle consistently.

When it applies

This is a declarative requirement of the mattpocock@1 Profile. Selecting that Profile applies the requirement to candidate adr documents; it is not selected through the rules array.
